Description

Workplace health and safety was top of mind during the pandemic, and it remains central to employers and employees as workers return to the office in the "new normal" of workplace considerations. But health and safety law is not new, and developments related to workplace hazards and risks (outside of pandemic concerns) continue. Our presenters are leading Ministry of Labour prosecutors and corporate defence counsel. In this half-day program, they bring you up to speed on the latest developments in central issues in this area, including topics on maximum fines for OHSA violations, sentencing considerations, and more.

  • What are the top 5 cases all OHSA legal practitioners need to know about?
  • How can you mitigate the mental health risks you face working with images of workplace injuries and fatalities?
  • What do the latest cases say about fines, delay, harassment, etc.?
