Description
The amendments to the Divorce Act are now expected to come into effect on March 1, 2021. Do you know what the changes are and which ones will have the most impact on your clients? Our presenters take you through the pending amendments by addressing four key areas: promoting the best interests of the child, addressing family violence, reducing child poverty, and improving the accessibility and efficiency of the justice system. The new legislation will give judges and lawyers additional tools to resolve matters in a less adversarial and more cost-effective manner. Don't miss this opportunity to hear how.
  • Be aware of the guidelines that affect cases where mobility is an issue
  • Hear about the factors that will be considered when making parenting arrangements
  • Learn about resources for victims of family violence
