For the last 18 months, most of your work days have likely been some variation of “Do Your Work Where Your Kids Are At Day” but we’re giving you a chance to have your daughter or son (or niece, nephew or somehow-related teen) who’s currently in grade 9 tune into a fast-paced, interactive, informative and fun CPD program to learn more about what lawyers and paralegals (who aren’t you!) do in their jobs.
Take Our Kids to Work day is a yearly event, presented by The Learning Partnership and the LSO, where grade 9’ers shadow a lawyer or paralegal. Unfortunately, the full Osgoode Hall experience is still unavailable to us due to COVID. Instead, we’ve designed a 90-minute CPD program on how to become a lawyer or a paralegal, what it means to work in law, and the cool things your colleagues are doing in their work.
And if your teen would like to ask a question of our guest speakers – lawyers, a paralegal and a judge – please have them email their question to Iwanttoknow@lso.ca before November 1. We’ll get as many of the kids’ questions posed to our panellists as we can.
